Dos and Don’ts to Get in the Best (Physical and Mental) Shape of Your Life in 2025

As 2025 kicks into high gear, you’re probably hearing all about the latest diets, gadgets, and hacks to help you lose weight and get healthy. 

But the trouble is that most folks try to take on too much, too soon.  

Is there a solution? 

You betcha there is.  

It’s called Keep It Simple

This short list of do’s and don’ts will get you started.

Don’t: Spend half your paycheck on that trendy new gym or exercise program.
Do: Make a habit of moving for at least 20-30 minutes every day.
Don’t: Sacrifice sleep for work, parties, or anything, really. 
Do: Prioritize sleep and recovery. If you’re not getting 7+ hours, then you’re not optimizing your performance. 


Don’t: Bottle up all that stress and anxiety until you’re ready to explode.
Do: Take time every day to breathe, read, walk (preferably outside), connect with a friend or family member, and care for yourself.  


Don’t: Cut out all the foods you love or try a trendy new "diet".
Do: Eat more protein and less sugar.
 
Don’t: Obsess over the number on the scale. 
Do: Focus on how you feel


If you just keep it simple and check these healthy habits off your list each day, you’ll make consistent progress throughout the year. And that's what it's all about.
